COMPUTERS OWNED |
1st (IBM XT) -- Given to me by a friend. I think I crashed the thing at least a million times just to see how it worked and didn't work AND if I could fix it. 2nd (286) -- I bought this one from a Honeywell auction. It only cost me $75. I crashed this one only a thousand times, because I actually learned a thing or two from trying to repair the first one. 3rd (486 33mhz) -- I was so gung ho to have a faster up-to-date system, that I jumped at the first one I could afford. I bought my Packard Bell for $1000. It was great at first and I was oh too happy to have it. I only crashed it once (fixed it myself) only to find out that the type of graphic programs that I was using needed more memory, more space, more speed, and just plain more. 4th (486 120mhz) -- Given to me and built by a friend (Chris), because I was getting heavier into computer graphics and animation and I needed simply more than what I had. Ok so what I got was only simply, slightly more, but it made a difference. 5th (Pent II 233mhz)-- My current computer is a Gateway, 233mhz, 64mg, 9gig. Yes, I just became a new Gateway owner just last year (1997). I had a few problems with it at first which Gateway straightened out, so now I am totally ecstatic about it. I love it, I love it , I love it (relatively speaking). |
HOBBIES & INTERESTS |
PIANO - I am currently taking piano. I did as a young girl of 6 and at the age of 18, however I never continued. This is a personal dream of mine to play the piano and read music. I am determined to finish my studies and do well. COMPUTERS - If you haven't already guessed. I LOVE COMPUTERS. My interest started out with the hardware side of computers, now I am mainly interested in Computer Animation, 3D Animation and rendering, and Web Authoring. I started out tearing computers apart just to put them back together, then I got into Design layout, now I am heavy into the animation and the programming side of things. READING - I really like reading. There are times when I need a break from everything, including my computer, and a good book usually does the trick. I have gone from reading soft romances (high school), horror (1st years of college), to self help, self awareness, cultural, and educational books. I do on occasion still read the other topics. REPTILES - I would not go so far as to say that I am a Herper (Herptologist / Herptology - The study of reptiles and amphibians) I received as a gift Christmas 96', a pair of Chameleons from a friend who is a breeder (17 years) of Boa Constrictors, COOL HUH! I really loved to see those Chameleons eat. I fed them live crickets. It was just too cool watching them sit on one end of their terrariums and strike a cricket at the other end with their long, sticky, black tongues. I no longer have my Chameleons due to bad decision making on my part. I placed them outside in their glass terrarium during the summer months. Living in Florida, in the summer, and in a glass terrarium (outside) proved fatal. I dehydrated my babies (I felt horrible)...anyway by Christmas 97' the same friend organized an auction for her Hertology club and there I bought a baby Iguana. I promised myself I would be a better care giver. On top of buying my baby Iguana (BabyJane) who we later found to be a male so now we call him BJ, another friend gave me an adult Iguana (Felipe). I love my pets and am taking good care of them. I have just recently (March 98) acquired through another friend a Monkey tailed Skink (snake looking lizard with legs) Sheeba. That is not the correct definition for her, but it is an easy way to describe her. She is interesting. DOGS - I have a dog (Nikki-Terrier/Poodle). She is too cute and very obedient (ok maybe not very), but she is a good dog. I have had her 3 years and hope to have her for many, many, more. |
